A question that frequently gets asked is how much do I need to train?

There are many answers to this:

Ideally you should try and do something most days of the week. This usually gives the best results.

Just going to a class once a week and doing nothing in between is not really enough to make much progress.

Much of this depends on your goals. If you have a serious health complaint, then practising Qigong daily is going to make the biggest difference.

If you practice Tai Chi for enjoyment, health and mobility, then it doesn’t need to be as frequent. However, it is better to do 15 minutes every day rather than one hour on a single day each week.

There is a difference between sufficient and optimal. If your goal is to progress rapidly then daily practice is the way forw2ard.
